Down-Payment Assistance - In 2011, the Village of Butte was awarded a NAHTF Housing grant from the State of Nebraska to purchase, rehabilitate and resell two houses in the village limits.  The Program Income generated from this grant is currently used to provide Down-Payment Assistance to qualified persons wanting to purchase a house within the Butte community.  All interested parties are encouraged to contact the Village Office, 402-775-2426 to obtain more information and an application.

Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation - In 2015, the Village of Butte was awarded a Community Development Block Grant to assist qualified person with improvements to their homes.    At the close of 2019, the Village of Butte was able to assist eight (8) households in making improvements to their homes.  The Village Board is thankful that it's residence were able to use these federal funds to improve their homes as well as the community appearance.  To learn more about the program and if funds are available, please visit or call the Village Office at 402-775-2426 or you can call our partner, Judy Petersen with Central Nebraska Economic Development District at 402-340-0106.  This program follows Fair Housing guidelines.  Repair you home today .....enjoy tomorrow.

Rousch Family & Public Trust Fund

           The Rousch Family & Public Trust Fund was founded in 2012 after an estate gift was received by Ronald & Mildred Rousch for the betterment and growth of the Village of Butte.  The interest earned on these funds is available for any community betterment project through an application process.  Any citizen or community group that has a project that would enhance our community and would like assistance, please contact the Village Clerk, 402-775-2426, for an application.  The Village Board of Trustees would love to hear about your ideas and see if they can help make it a reality.
